Hi, I am Manja. I am so glad you are here.
Just like you right now, I was looking for answers when it comes to healthy nutrition and what that really entails.
Very often it’s the personal circumstances in our lives that makes us question our current routines. When I witnessed my best friends fight against cancer during 4 years, I learned a lot from her about the right foods to eat and what needs to be avoided to keep a good life quality.
Later on, I wanted to dig deeper and studied Nutrition Science at Stanford University. I was inspired by the brilliant Prof. Christopher Gardner who studies nutrition science and the microbiome for more than 20 years.
Finally, I created almostplantbased.com to combine my passion for digital trainings and my profound interest for nutrition.
Nutrition – Can it help to avoid or revert a condition?
Almostplantbased is a resource for people that are curious about the impact nutrition has, to make you feel better. You will read about how nutrition can be linked to medical conditions and how you can actually use that information today in your own life and kitchen.
Just like with my story, this blog supports your transition in mindset and eventually your lifestyle to a more plant-based regimen – but not exclusively. You will realize that this site is not purely focussed on a vegetarian or vegan diet. It’s tough to commit 100% and we all have our specific pleasures and commitments which we don’t want to – or simply cannot – give up. And why should we?
Like many of you out there, I watched lots of health and diet related documentaries. I educated myself about the best food options I could get access to, the cleanest supplements that would support my path to feel better and so much more.
If you’re just getting started or you want to question your current approach, come and join the almostplantbased community on facebook or follow us on instagram for regular tips on how to eat healthier.
